When it comes to thermal insulation in buildings, it is generally understood as protection of people living in the building against cold weather. However, the energy cost of protecting the inhabitants in the summer from the heat is three times higher than protecting them against cold. EPS creates comfortable living spaces by protecting the buildings and consequently inhabitants from hot weather in summer, from the cold in winter and by saving energy.
Lifecycle analysis show that the impact of EPS on the environment is much less than that of competing materials used for the same purpose.
EPS is a good example of the minimum use of natural sources. It is 100% recyclable. It does not pose a risk to health and environment during its production and use. It does not give damage the ozone layer and CFC and derivative gases are not used during production.
